Lowered so now it's very close to done.
-
Almost done.
-
Thank you all.
Yes, the rims are 7".
-
Some more progress done.
New black headliner and windows are in (chrome mouldings will go on later around the windows).
A little bit of lowering and it's almost ready for the road. -
It's alive.
Clutch needs a bit of adjusting but otherwise it's ok. -
I will put black stripes on the sides like the 19SR had, same as on my Kadett.
-
The Ascona is now started for the first time and all the lights work.
Now I just need to bleed the brakes and change the old fuel pump because it doesn't work very well.So soon it should be ready for a testdrive.
And a picture of how it looks at the moment.
Wheels will be these 7x13" Ally Cat or...
...these 6x13" Borani from my Kadett Coupé.

Ascona A Voyage 5-door built by a guy here in Sweden.
Picture is not taken by me.

A picture of how it looks right now.

I'm happy to hear that you like the car.
-
Car is painted now, just assembly work left.
-
Yes there is too much salt on the roads here when it's winter, that's why I only use my old Opels during the summer.
-
nevertheless you have a lot of rustfree cars. how is that possible?
They are hard to find these days but I guess we have a lot of old people that only use their cars during summer.
And cars that come from the northern parts of Sweden are usually in better condition then cars from the southern parts. -
Long time since I updated this thread but here are some pictures of what the car looks like now.
Engine is installed and it has been painted inside, off course in Signalgrün.And a picture of my other car, an unrestored Kadett Coupé -75.

How do you remove a sunroof (stahlschiebedach)?
Wie entfernt man ein stahlschiebedach? (Google translated
)
Car is an Ascona A.
-
Does anyone know if this Ascona is a Holiday?
I have: sunroof, neckrests, foglight switch, electric heated back window and 80ps. (All other Ascona -75 I know of have only 75ps.)
-
Took off the doors today.
No picture with both doors gone. -
Hi Mikko,
nice car, nice color. Are you sure, that this is an original painting?
Have fun with stripping an AsconaWhere in Sweden do you come from? I´ve been a couple of times in Jönköping and Tranas.
HiIt has been repainted once but in original color.
Same color under the dashboard so I'm pretty sure it really is Signalgrün.I live outside a small town called Köping. About 300km north of Jönköping.
